Formed in 1975, Friendly Street hosts one of Australia's longest running live poetry readings. Friendly Street aims to encourage the development of South Australian poetry by providing a supportive venue for the live performance of poetry and regularly publishing collections of South Australian poetry. News Web site upgrade Friendlystreetpoets.org.au has been upgraded! Editor, Raphael Sabu with the technical assistance of Rob Mader have been hard at work, transferring the old website into a new content manager. This is quite a task with more than 150 pages created thus far! Older content is still being transferred and created - if you feel that something has been missed please feel free to email. The new features of the site allow members to log in and post comments and the Friendly Street Poets Board to delegate publishing tasks to more volunteers. The upshot? More comprehensive coverage of Friendly Street. Questions? Comments? Criticisms? Email Raphael Sabu or Rob Mader. Browse along to the new friendlystreetpoets.org.au. Newsletter The first edition of the Friendly Street newsletter is now available. A PDF copy of the newsletter can be downloaded by clicking on this link.
